BIO

After more than a decade of living on the east coast, San Francisco Bay area musician Ron "Skip" Greer, former lead singer of Lookout! Records band The Winona Ryders, and for the past 10+ years lead singer for the iconic punk band Dead Kennedys, found himself living in the midwest straddled on both sides of the Mississippi River in an area known as the Quad Cities IA/IL.

Skip was ready to start a new musical venture and began methodically researching the diy music history of the region in hopes to find like-minded musicians in order to form a new and exciting band...

Introducing: RUNNING MAN a five piece post punk rock n' roll band from the Quad Cities, IA/IL featuring Skip from Dead Kennedys on lead vocals and backed by members of such notable QC bands as The Multiple Cat, Mondo Drag, Meth and Goats, Lord Green, Tambourine, and more.

The band hit the ground running and recorded their first batch of songs at Future Apple Tree Studio in Rock Island, IL with bass player and recording engineer Pat Stolley at the helm. The resulting sound is clever rock n' roll punk with a feeling of Akron Ohio meets the Bowery circa '77.

RIYL Heartbreakers, Bizarros, Dictators, Dead Boys, and Richard Hell & The Voidoids.

Their self-titled album releases November 15. Preorder for all formats available now via 221 Press.
